1 lb hamburger
3/4 c chopped onion
1 can mushroom soup
1 can tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp salt
Dash pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
Pinch thyme
1 c instant rice
Cheese strips
Brown hamburger and onion together; drain. Add mushroom soup, tomatoes, salt, pepper, garlic powder, thyme and rice. Cook until rice is done, about 20 minutes. Taste. You might need more seasoning. Remove from heat and put strip of cheese on top. Serve after cheese has melted.
